How the weekly limit works
Your Ring camera records a clip whenever it detects motion, and CarGo checks each clip recorded during the hours you choose for that camera (dawn to dusk unless you change it). Dawn and dusk use the coarse country and state Ring provides for that camera, not your phone's location. A camera on a quiet street records a couple of hundred clips a day. One facing a busy road can record thousands.
The plan includes 4,000 clips a week on each camera, and up to 1,000 clips a day are checked live. The day starts at 4:00 AM and the week every Wednesday at 4:00 AM, in your time zone. Past either limit, new clips from that camera are queued and checked overnight when there is capacity, without live alerts; this can take longer, and a clip that waits more than five days is not checked. At 8,000 clips in a week, CarGo pauses the camera until Wednesday's reset. The free trial has the same clip limits.
The app warns you before a camera reaches the limit.
Turning off Other Motion in Smart Alerts in the Ring app usually keeps a camera well below the limit. Shadows, branches, rain and pets will no longer record clips. The setup guide shows where to find the setting.
Billing and cancellation
Billing is monthly through the Ring Appstore, not CarGo.
You can cancel any time under Ring My Apps in the Ring app. Once Ring reports the subscription as no longer active, CarGo stops checking that camera; Ring My Apps shows your billing dates.
