CarGo is made by Granite Peak Engineering LLC, a small engineering company in San Marcos, California.
Why CarGo exists
A Ring camera facing a street notices every passing car. Most alerts are about other people's cars, so the alerts you care about can get lost.
CarGo was built to tell you when your vehicle has arrived or left. It learns your vehicles from your cameras with a few taps from you, and is designed to stay quiet about other vehicles.
CarGo is a convenience, not a security or safety system. It helps you notice the comings and goings that matter to you.
How we treat your data
- We keep only what the service needs. Motion clips are deleted right after they are checked, within minutes, and a video you share with CarGo within 24 hours. Your account keeps a sighting of each vehicle, with a cropped, blurred still, for 90 days.
- We do not sell your data, show advertising, or use your images to train anything for other customers.
- We do not read license plates or track other people or their vehicles.
